This provision meets requirements Children enjoy their time at the club after their school day. Staff provide a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment. Children are confident and independent.

They know and follow routines well. This shows that they feel emotionally secure. Children enjoy selecting from a wide range of suitable activities based on what they like to do.

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, build friendships and play cooperatively. Children of all ages play together, which helps them develop good social skills. They concentrate well while making models with small construction bricks.

Ol...der children help younger children play a game of connecting coloured discs in a line.Children form strong friendships and enjoy one another's company as they share a healthy snack together. Staff help children have meaningful conversations together.

Children listen to one another as they talk about their day at school and what they did at the weekend. Children demonstrate respectful and polite behaviour towards each other and adults. Parents speak glowingly about the club and are very happy with the care their children receive.

They feel well informed and would recommend it to others. Children are good communicators and describe the fun they have at the club.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

The manager and owner have made positive changes since the last inspection.

They are passionate about providing a high-quality and inclusive provision for all children. The manager has introduced a more robust process to clearly record children's attendance. Staff receive clear guidance and regular opportunities to discuss their practice.

Furthermore, the manager provides staff with ongoing training and support to enhance their knowledge and skills further. Staff state that they thoroughly enjoy working at the club and feel well supported by both the manager and owner.The arrangements for settling children into the club are effective.

The manager works with parents to gather key information about the child before they first start. Children visit the club and share their interests to help staff plan for when the children attend.Staff plan a range of activities for the children.

They adapt the activities each day to meet the interests and needs of the children attending throughout the week. Children particularly enjoy the sporting and coaching skills they learn both inside and outside on the large playing field. Children develop good physical skills indoors as they practise their ball control skills.

These opportunities help children to be curious and engaged in their chosen play and activities.Children receive appropriate additional support if required. Staff discuss children's needs with parents.

They share ideas and strategies to provide children with consistent messages.Staff join in with children's games and praise them for their skills and individual strengths. They encourage children to be confident with their ideas and engage in positive interactions with the children.

Staff adapt their levels of support and expectations skilfully to each child's age and stage of development.Children follow good hygiene routines and know to wash their hands before they eat. The manager and staff support children to make healthy choices.

For instance, they provide a wide range of fruit and vegetables for them to choose from at snack time and to accompany their light tea. Children contribute their own ideas of healthy foods to the weekly menu.Staff work in partnership with teachers in the schools that children attend.

They share pertinent information about children's well-being. For example, teachers provide information about any accidents that children have had at school during the day. Staff at the club ensure they pass this documentation on to parents when they collect children from the club.

Safeguarding

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.Staff have a secure understanding of their responsibility to keep children safe. They undertake daily risk assessments of the indoor and outdoor community space to ensure it remains secure.

Staff teach children how to manage risks safely. For example, they remind children how to use the balls safely indoors. Staff attend safeguarding training.

They are aware of the signs that may indicate that a child is at risk of harm. This includes how to identify children who may be at risk of exposure to extreme views and behaviour. Staff know how to report concerns regarding children or their colleagues.
