This provision meets requirements Staff work well as a team, providing a range of enjoyable resources and activities in a welcoming environment for children. Staff welcome children when they first arrive and encourage them to independently find activities they enjoy. Children confidently explore the activities on offer and find their friends.

Children's physical development is promoted well. They enthusiastically use the outdoor garden to engage in physical activities. Children confidently use the climbing frame with increasing confidence and skill.

Staff sensitively encourage children to join in with team games to help to ensure their full participation a...nd to meet their individual needs. Younger children excitedly hide and seek with staff and show their excitement as more children take part.Staff plan a variety of experiences to help promote children's creative abilities and social skills.

Children enjoy new friendship groups and working together when they engage in group activities. For instance, children enjoy sitting together when drawing and discus the pictures they are making.Children behave well.

Staff have high expectations for all children, and they are good role models. They talk to children about turn taking and gently remind them of the rules.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

The manager has clear aims for children to ensure they are happy and enjoy their time at the club.

She ensures children's voices are listened to by staff. For instance, staff adapt and change activities to reflect the interests of the children. Children are confident to discuss which activities and resources they would like.

This helps children to feel that they have choice and a say in the running of the club.Children are happy and confident. They readily share resources and negotiate activities with each other.

Older children engage well with younger children, they encourage them and praise their efforts. For example, they include younger children in conversations when looking at pictures of activities they have taken part in.Children demonstrate feeling safe, secure and confident to approach the inspector with ease and readiness.

Younger children show they feel proud of their achievements as they excitedly discuss a house from building bricks they have made.Children show good levels of independence and respect. They listen well to what is asked of them, follow instructions with ease.
