• Inspectors met with the headteacher, the deputy headteacher, the special educational needs coordinator and the early years leader? Inspectors met with members of the local governing body, trustees, and the trust's area director of education, who represented the chief executive? Inspectors carried out deep dives in these subjects: reading and phonics, design and technology, mathematics, PE and historyFor each deep dive, inspectors met with subject leaders, looked at curriculum plans, visited a sample of lessons, spoke to teachers, spoke to some pupils about their learning and looked at samples of pupils' work. ? Inspectors met with senior staff who lead the wider curriculum.

Inspectors also discussed this with pupils in single-sex groups. ? To evaluate the effectiveness of safeguarding, inspectors: reviewed the single central record; took account of the views of leaders, staff and pupils; and considered the extent to which the school has created an open and positive culture around safeguarding that puts pupils' interests first.
• Inspectors reviewed the responses to Ofsted Parent View and spoke to several parents before the start of the school day. Inspectors considered responses to the staff and pupil surveys.
