Ysgol Gynradd Talhaiarn is situated in the village of Llanfair Talhaiarn near Abergele, Conwy.

The school is naturally bilingual and serves the village and the surrounding rural area. It is an English-medium school, in the main, and extensive use is made of the Welsh language. Both languages are used to communicate with pupils and in the school's administration.
