Ysgol Rhys Prichard is a community primary school that is situated in the town of Llandovery in Carmarthenshire local authority. There are 187 pupils on roll, including nursery age children who attend school on a full-time basis from the term in which they reach their fourth birthday. Over a three-year-period, around 11% of pupils have been eligible for free school meals.
