Ysgol y Fro is in the village of Llangyndeyrn in Carmarthenshire.

It serves the rural area to the south of the town of Carmarthen. The school was established in 1996 as a federation of three schools to safeguard educational provision in a rural area. Due to demographic changes, in September 2014 the school was centralised on one site.
