This provision meets requirements Children are happy and enthusiastic when they arrive at the the club. They are very pleased to see their friends and explore the activities that staff provide. Staff greet children warmly and help them to settle down quickly.

They offer activities that are interesting and engaging, and led by children's interests and requests. Children can take part in various activities, including arts and crafts and making their own play dough following a written recipe. Children have opportunities to play indoors and outdoors regardless of the weather.

Staff and children have positive relationships. They chat happily to each other as st...aff join in with children's play. Children tell staff about the school day and talk at length about the adventures they had during the summer holidays.

They laugh and giggle with their friends as they enjoy a healthy and well-balanced snack. Children make choices about their food and help each other to make wraps. Staff sit with children and support them as required.

Children are well behaved. They listen to staff and can follow instructions carefully. Staff and children are kind to each other and show respect for different opinions in a calm way.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

Staff want children to feel part of all the decisions made at the club. Children take turns to read out the rules of the club to remind everyone and to keep everyone safe. They actively remind each other about what to do if the fire alarm sounds and where to go.

Staff have clear expectations of children's behaviour and are good role models. Children are well behaved and help each other to resolve minor issues appropriately.Children are safe in the club.

Staff regularly count children to ensure that numbers are correct. They sign children in and out and communicate well with each other. Staff accompany younger children to the bathroom and supervise all children well.

They help children to make good choices to stay safe and praise them when they do.Staff complete thorough risk assessments before children arrive to ensure their safety. Children learn to keep the environment clean and tidy as they go.

Children willingly help staff with little prompting from staff.Staff are committed to their own learning and development. They identify training courses that support their work and keep their core training up to date.

New staff members are well supported and inducted to ensure that they feel confident with policies and procedures. Managers and senior leaders work together closely to review the club and make changes as needed.Parents speak very highly of all the staff and the club.

They appreciate the effort that staff make to engage children and communicate with parents.
