Summary of key findings for parents and pupils

This is a good school The strong leadership of the headteacher has led to significant improvements since the last inspection.

The headteacher has developed a strong leadership team. They are committed to supporting all staff and pupils, and consequently teaching, learning and assessment is now good. As a result of good teaching, pupils are making good, and sometimes rapid, progress to prepare them well for the next stage in their education.

Most disadvantaged pupils make at least similar progress to other pupils nationally. As a result of high-quality targeted support for their learning, pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are making ...at least good progress. Children in the Nursery and Reception class benefit from a very high level of care and support and make good progress.

The vast majority of pupils enjoy coming to school and say they feel safe. They love learning and work hard in lessons. They are very keen to do their best.

Pupils speak confidently about the school's values and show respect for each other's backgrounds and cultural differences. The governing body is effective. They are committed to providing the best opportunities for pupils to succeed and ensure that leaders are running the school effectively.

A significant number of parents would like to see improvements in the way that leaders communicate with them. There is an inconsistency across the school in the quality of support pupils receive from teaching and learning support assistants.
